Who is Seva RVA?
SevaRVA is a nonprofit organization devoted to alleviating hunger in the Richmond community by serving free and nutritionally-balanced meals to those in need.
Why Seva RVA?
MASC 467 is an agency-like class centered around CreateAthon at VCU (a 24-hour creative sprint event held during the semester), where we chose SevaRVA as our nonprofit client who submitted a project request.
TIMELINE
TIMELINE
January — March
Met with our client to review and revise the project request, conducted research to develop strategy, and crafted a creative brief to define the work to be done during Create-A-Thon.
April 6
Attended Create-A-Thon at VCU where I co-lead a team of creatives who helped us produce deliverables within 24 hours that we presented to the client the following day.
April — May
Worked closely with the client to revise and add any additional creative work. Then developed a final pitch of the work to present to the clients on our last day.
June — August
Continued with SevaRVA as an intern where I designed their new website, posted social content, and wrote a newsletter leading up to the reveal of the new website.
January — May
This deck is a compilation of all the strategic and creative work my team and I created over the course of the semester and at the Create-A-Thon at VCU event. Click on the slideshow to view in another tab.
June — August
During my internship, my primary project was to design a new website with updated brand identity, story-telling language, and user-friendly navigation. This website is now SevaRVA's official online presence, helping the organization better connect with its community.
Social Media
During the week leading up to the website reveal, I created Instagram posts, stories, and a highlight reel to countdown each day until the website went live. Click on the slideshow to view in another tab.
Newsletter
On the morning of the website reveal, we released a newsletter I wrote explaining the story behind the new brand identity.
